28 treated for smoke inhalation after West Bank fire

Fire and rescue services have contained a large fire that started near the West Bank settlement of Beit Hagai in the southern Hebron hills.

Some 28 people are being treated for smoke inhalation at the scene; three were evacuated by paramedics for further treatment.

It is not clear whether the fire is a result of arson or a brush fire, a frequent occurrence in Israel during the summer. The country is suffering its worst heat wave in five years.
