85-year-old J’lem resident dies in house fire

An 85-year-old man was killed in a fire in Jerusalem. The fire broke out on the third floor of a residential building in the Mishkan Shilo Street in the Beit Hakerem neighborhood in Jerusalem.

Fire fighters and Magen David Adom were first called about the fire shortly after 8 pm but by the time they arrived on the scene, the man was already dead.

The man apparently died from smoke inhalation. Paramedics tried to resuscitate the man but pronounced him dead on the scene.
