From Ban pressing US, Russia to make sure aid trucks can reach Aleppo
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleUN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon says he is in talks with Russia and the United States to ensure they press all sides in Syria to guarantee the security of a UN aid convoy ready to head toward the battered city of Aleppo.
Ban says 20 trucks loaded with food and other needed supplies were still at the Turkish border with Syria awaiting the all-clear for the journey to Aleppo.
