Bob Dylan wins Nobel Prize for Literature

Jewish singer-songwriter Bob Dylan has won the Nobel Prize in Literature, the Academy announces.

Dylan, born Robert Zimmerman, is cited “for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition.”
