Bolivia cuts diplomatic ties with Israel, citing “crimes against humanity,” the Reuters news agency reports.

The move comes as Israel battles the Hamas terror group in Gaza after the devastating October 7 assault on Israeli communities that killed some 1,400 people, most of them civilians.

Israel has since carried out airstrikes on Gaza and sent in ground forces vowing to eliminate the terror group.

Hamas says more than 8,500 people have been killed but its numbers cannot be verified and it does not differentiate between civilians and terrorists.

Bolivia cut ties with Israel in 2009 over another round of fighting in Gaza and only restored them in 2020.
