Border Police say they foiled a stabbing attack in the West Bank, arresting a 22-year-old Palestinian who was carrying two knives.
A police statement says the man was spotted acting suspiciously in the town of Huwara in the northern West Bank.
Officers detained him and found he was carrying two knives. A letter to his parents was also found in his pocket in which he apologized and promised them they would receive a large sum of money for his actions, police say.
He was handed over to the Shin Bet for further questioning.
