Citing IRGC overreach, Iran’s Pezeshkian reportedly asks Khamenei to let him quit presidency

Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has sent a letter of resignation to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, an informed source tells the Iran International news outlet.
In the reported letter, Pezeshkian warns that the country’s rule has fallen under the full control of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps commanders, while his administration has been completely isolated from the key decision-making processes since the start of the war with the US and Israel in February.
It is unclear whether Khamenei will accept Pezeshkian’s resignation, the report says.
