Communications minister slams Israeli media coverage of Tel Aviv attack

Communications Minister Yoaz Hendel criticizes the way local media operated during last night’s terrorist shooting in Tel Aviv.
“A mother should not watch her son searching homes for a terrorist… the people of Israel should not be listening to the radio messages between police and the IDF and certainly should not be watching live from an operating room — what happened yesterday crossed a line.”
As police hunted for the terrorist who killed two and wounded several others last night, Israeli media outlets were often close behind security forces, sharing immediate but often unverified information, despite repeated calls for them to back off.
