Dermer defends PM on two-state solution

Israeli Ambassador to Washington Ron Dermer defends Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying in a Sunday morning interview that the Obama administration misinterpreted Netanyahu’s pre-election statements and that “the prime minister is not against a two-state solution with a demilitarized Palestinian state.”

Speaking on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Dermer argues that “things have changed” – but that the change is in the diminishing security situation in the region and the fact that the Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has maintained his alliance with Hamas.
