Foreign Ministry chief praises Israeli FIFA ‘victory’
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleForeign Ministry Director General Yuval Rotem hails the Foreign Ministry, Culture Ministry, the National Security Council and the Israel Soccer Association for their work in helping to convince FIFA member states to vote to delay a decision on banning Israeli clubs based in the West Bank.
“The Foreign Ministry will continue to be at the heart of the action, at both its headquarters in Jerusalem and its representative [offices] around the world,” he says in a statement.
“This was a victory in one battle of the campaign that is expected to continue in the months ahead,” he adds.
