Gay parade attacker to be indicted for murder

Yishai Schlissel is set to be indicted tomorrow for the murder of 16-year-old Shira Banki.

The Jerusalem District Prosecution is set to file the indictment with the Jerusalem District Court, Israel Radio reports.

Schlissel faces additional charges after going on a stabbing spree at last month’s Jerusalem Gay Pride Parade, killing Banki and wounding five others. He refuses legal representation and has defended his actions as vengeance for gay pride activists’ ostensible defiance of religious morals.

Banki, a Jerusalem high school student, succumbed to her wounds in hospital a few days after the July 31 attack.
