Government supporters storm Venezuela’s Congress

Dozens of pro-government activists storm into the seat of Venezuela’s National Assembly as the opposition-controlled legislature was holding a special session to mark the country’s independence day.

Brandishing sticks and dressed in red, they set off fireworks in the interior gardens of the capitol building, unleashing chaos, according tyo AFP journalists at the scene.
