Greek FM to visit Israel amid talks to resume travel between countries
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleForeign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi will host his foreign counterpart Nikos Dendias when he visits Israel, the Foreign Ministry says.
A Foreign Ministry spokesman says renewing tourism between the countries will be among the topics Ashkenazi and Dendias will discuss.
They will also discuss tensions between Greece and Turkey over maritime energy rights, according to Hebrew media reports.
The Foreign Ministry put out a statement earlier today backing Greece amid tensions between Athens and Ankara over maritime oil and gas rights, while Dendias tweeted he spoke with Ashkenazi about “Turkish illegal actions” in the Eastern Mediterranean.
