Haredi protesters block Jerusalem road over traffic ticket issued to man said to be draft dodger

Haredi protesters are blocking a road in Jerusalem, apparently when an officer issued an ultra-Orthodox driver a traffic ticket.

According to Channel 12 news, the driver was stopped in the Ramat Shlomo neighborhood and phone messages were distributed by a Haredi organization about the “attempted arrest” of a draft dodger.

Crowds arrived on the scene and began to block the road and clash with officers, reports say.

According to Channel 12, the man was not detained and it is unclear if the driver was indeed a draft dodger.
