Hundreds of thousands crowd into Bnei Brak for Kanievsky funeral

The funeral for Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, a prominent leader of the ultra-Orthodox world who died on Friday at age 94, begins in Bnei Brak.
Approximately 750,000 people have turned out, according to Channel 12 news, and dozens of schools were shut and highways closed down ahead of the funeral.
Officials have warned against overcrowding and pushing and shoving at the event amid fears that people could be hurt or killed during the proceedings. Around 3,000 police officers are deployed around the event, and police warned people to avoid unnecessary travel to the entire central area of Israel.
