IDF issues evacuation warnings ahead of strikes on Hamas, Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon

The IDF issues an urgent evacuation warning to residents of four villages in southern Lebanon ahead of planned strikes on Hamas and Hezbollah targets.

In a statement by the military’s Arabic spokesperson, Col. Avichay Adraee, residents of Annan and Al-Manara are told the IDF will soon strike Hamas military infrastructure in the area.

In a separate warning, residents of Kfar Hatta and Ayn al-Tineh are told the IDF plans to strike military infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah, citing what it describes as the terror group’s prohibited attempts to reestablish activity in the area.

Residents living in buildings marked in red on maps published with the warnings, as well as in nearby structures, are instructed to evacuate immediately and move at least 300 meters away, the statements say, warning that remaining in the area would put civilians at risk.

While the IDF has issued many similar evacuation warnings ahead of strikes on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, as well as ahead of strikes on Hamas targets in Gaza during the war, this is the first time such public advance notice has been issued before a strike on Hamas targets in Lebanon.
