IDF says Hamas UAV commander killed in Gaza strike on Saturday

A Hamas unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) unit commander was killed in an Israeli strike in the central Gaza Strip yesterday, the military announces.
The strike killed Hamam Eid, who headed a UAV cell in Hamas’s military wing. The IDF says he was tasked with the production of UAVs intended to be used in attacks on troops and Israeli civilians.
Previously, Eid headed a drone cell in central Gaza, and participated in attacks on Israeli forces, the military says.
“Recently, Eid attempted to restore the aerial capabilities of the Hamas terror organization, in violation of the ceasefire agreement,” the IDF adds.
The IDF publishes a photo of Eid, which it says was found by troops during operations in the Strip.
