IDF says it thwarted weapons smuggling attempt from Jordan into Israel

The IDF says it foiled an attempt to smuggle weapons into Israel from Jordan earlier today, arresting one suspect in the process.
Troops of the Lions of the Jordan Battalion, alongside police officers, captured two pistols that were being smuggled over the border, in the northern portion of the Jordan Valley, the military says.
One suspect was also detained in the area. The weapons and the suspect were taken by police for further investigation, the army adds.
