The IDF says it is bolstering forces to secure the US-built floating pier on the coast of the central Gaza Strip, known as JLOTS, which is due to resume operations in the coming days.

The pier is used to bring humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, though it has seen several setbacks, including falling apart last month.
