Iranian drone struck US helicopter at Strait of Hormuz — reports

The US helicopter that went down over the Strait of Hormuz was hit with an Iranian drone, Axios and The New York Times report.
Both publications cite a US official, with the Times adding that it was a Shahed attack drone.
A US Navy surface drone found and rescued the two crew, the US military said, after the US Army attack helicopter went down in waters near Oman’s coast while on patrol early this morning.
The US military’s Central Command says the soldiers were rescued after two hours and said they were in stable condition.
In a social media post, US President Donald Trump also blamed Iran for the strike and said the US “must” respond.
