Israeli was killed when smugglers clashed with Egyptian guards — report
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleEgyptian security sources tell Sky News Arabia the shots that killed an Israeli civilian contractor were fired during a clash between smugglers and Egyptian border guards.
According to the Arabic report, the smugglers opened fire at a group of Israeli contractors during the shootout, before Egyptian forces shot back.
The IDF cannot immediately confirm the report, as details of the incident are still being investigated, a military spokesperson says.
