Jerusalem rabbi visits man wounded in pride parade
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleRabbi Aryeh Stern, Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem, visits one of the wounded from yesterday’s stabbing at the gay pride parade.
The rabbi tells the man “most adamantly” that “Judaism and bloodletting” do not go hand in hand. He adds that he prays for the full recovery of the man and all others wounded at the parade.
During yesterday’s Jerusalem gay pride parade, a radical ultra-Orthodox man stabbed six people. Two of them were seriously wounded.
The man, Yishai Schlissel, was incarcerated for a similar offense at the 2005 pride parade.
