Jerusalem strike over after compromise reached

A strike by Jerusalem City Hall that saw garbage pile up in the streets and kindergartens shut is over

The end of the strike is announced by Zeev Elkin, the minister responsible for Jerusalem affairs, who helped broker the deal between the city and the Finance Ministry.

“Now Jerusalem residents can go back to their normal lives and we can pursue a solution to Jerusalem’s budget problems,” he says.
