Jordan’s King Abdullah II to head to Germany for back surgery

The Royal Hashemite Court says Jordan’s King Abdullah II will head to Germany on Sunday for back surgery.
“His Majesty King Abdullah II departs for Germany on Sunday to undergo surgery to treat a slipped disc,” it says in a tweet.
According to Reuters, after the operation at a specialist hospital in Frankfurt, Abdullah will require a week’s rest before being able to return to Jordan.
