Likud officials have tried getting in contact with renegade Yamina lawmaker Nir Orbach in recent days to pressure him to ditch the coalition, Walla reports.

Orbach has cut off contact and has not responded to or returned any calls, the report says.

He is believed to be concerned that Likud is not interested in establishing a new government in the existing Knesset, but rather in elections, and that he has no way to ensure that if Likud promises him positions for joining the party, he will actually receive them.

Orbach has frozen his membership in the coalition. He has denied reports claiming he was nearing a deal with Likud.
