Nahariya flooded after Ga’aton River overflows

The rains of the past few days caused the Ga’aton River to overflow, flooding the main street and several other streets in Nahariya.

Houses on ground floors in the Herzl and Steinmetz streets were flooded and one car was stuck, as the water reached a height of nearly 50 cm.

The floods started after hours of rainfall on the Western Galilee which filled the river’s source.

Rain and snow is expected to continue falling in the northern Golan and Galilee mountains. Jerusalem residents waited for snow on Wednesday and Thursday, predicted by forecasts, but the capital remained dry, with only occasional drizzles on Wednesday evening.
