Netanyahu lauds Shin Bet’s ‘excellent’ work

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expresses strong support for the Shin Bet’s conduct in the Duma Jewish terror attack interrogations.

At the beginning of a meeting with the Ukrainian president, he says “Shin Bet head Yoram Cohen and his men are doing important and excellent work for the people of Israel and for the security of the State of Israel.”

“Attacks on them [the service] are not acceptable to me. We are a state of law. All Shin Bet activities are done according to the law and this is done with close supervision by the attorney general and the Justice Ministry, and with the approval of the courts,” says the prime minister.

Netanyahu says that while Israel “deals with Arab terror day and night and in any place, sadly there are terror attacks carried out by Jews and the Shin Bet needs to deal with them too. We will not tolerate terrorism of any kind,” he says.
