No fuel to enter Gaza, Israel said to vow following Netanyahu-Blinken meeting
As Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s meeting in Tel Aviv with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken ends, multiple Hebrew media immediately cite Netanyahu’s office or sources in the office as saying there is no change in the decision to not allow fuel into the Gaza Strip.
Some reports even claimed that the issue “didn’t come up” in the meeting.
Israel is resisting growing pressure to allow the entry of fuel, saying the Hamas terror group has been plundering the Strip’s supplies for its own use.
According to the reports, Blinken said Israel has the right to defend itself, and Washington is doing its best to safely return the more than 240 hostages held by terrorists in Gaza.
He also stressed everything must be done to ensure the safety of uninvolved civilians.
