Oman gave Iran proposal to manage Hormuz traffic through two separately controlled routes, source tells CNN
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleOman has given Iran a proposal for the management of the Strait of Hormuz, a source with knowledge of today’s talks between the two countries tells CNN.
According to the report, Oman has proposed that traffic through the strait go via two separately controlled routes, one off Iran’s coast and one closer to Oman, which would be managed by each country. No tolls would be charged on either route, the source adds.
The agreement has yet to be finalized, the source says.
