One of the children stabbed in Beit Shemesh was celebrating birthday — report

Additional details emerge about the stabbing of two young buys in Beit Shemesh earlier today, as Channel 12 reports that one of the children was due to celebrate his birthday today before they were attacked.
The outlet does not say which of the two was the birthday boy. One boy, 7, was stabbed in the chest and killed, while the other, 4, was stabbed in the neck and taken to surgery at Hadassah Medical Center in Ein Kerem. He is in moderate condition.
One of the boys’ fathers discovered them wounded and bleeding in a swimming pool, according to the report.
The suspect is around age 25, a police official tells the network, which reports that the suspect is a neighbor of the victims and lives in an apartment rented from one of their grandmothers.
The incident is not being treated as an act of terror.
