Over 500,000 people returned to Gaza City since ceasefire, Hamas authorities say

Gaza’s civil defense agency says more than 500,000 people have returned to Gaza City since the first phase of a ceasefire took effect the previous day.
“More than half a million people have returned to Gaza (City) since yesterday,” says Mahmud Bassal, a spokesman for the civil defense, a rescue service operating under Hamas authority.
Images show the Palestinians returning to Gaza City, many of them waving Palestinian and Egyptian flags.
