Palestinian FM: EU countries working to change US peace plan

The Palestinian Authority’s Foreign Minister Riyad al-Malki says European Union countries are seeking to convince the Trump administration to modify parts of its peace plan.

The EU countries have agreed to push for changes prior to the unveiling of the US plan, Malki tells Voice of Palestine radio, according to the official Wafa news agency.

He doesn’t say which European countries are pressing the White House to change its plan.

Malki says the plan must include articles expressing support for a two-state solution, the establishment of a Palestinian state on the so-called 1967 borders with its capital in East Jerusalem, and an end to Israeli settlement construction.
