Palestinian health ministry: 2 injured in IDF Gaza strike

The Palestinian health ministry says two people were injured in an Israeli strike in the northern Gaza strip, and not one as previously reported.

“One of them, aged 20, received shrapnel to the face,” says Ashraf al-Qodra, spokesman for the ministry.

The strikes came in response to a rocket fired from Gaza that struck the Israeli city of Sderot.

Hamas security services sources say that “six shots were fired at various targets. Two of them destroyed a water tank in Beit Hanoun, injuring and causing damage.”

According to witnesses, a base used by the Izz-a-din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, was also hit in Beit Lahia, the area adjacent to Beit Hanoun.
