Palestinians protest at Rafah, call on Egypt to open crossing
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GooglePalestinians are protesting at the Rafah border crossing during a rally calling on Egyptian authorities to open the crossing, in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
Egypt has kept the crossing largely shut since Cairo’s Islamist president Mohammed Morsi was toppled by the army in 2013. Since then, it opened the crossing partially on a few occasions to allow Palestinians to travel in and out of the Gaza Strip, border officials say.
