Pence says Germany ‘must do more’ on defense spending
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleUS Vice President Mike Pence strongly criticizes Germany at NATO’s 70th anniversary gathering, saying the ally needed to pay more on defense and end a pipeline plan with Russia.
“Germany must do more. And we cannot ensure the defense of the West if our allies grow dependent on Russia,” Pence says, calling the Nord Stream 2 gas project “simply unacceptable.”
