Prosecutor in PM’s trial agrees with defense: 5 hearings a week ‘close to impossible’

The prosecutor in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s corruption trial, Yehudit Tirosh, concurs with his defense attorney Amit Hadad that the judges’ request to hold five hearings a week in the long-running legal affair is unreasonable.
“Five days is a very difficult thing for a prosecution or defense team, close to impossible,” she said, according to the Ynet outlet.
She adds that the trial’s intense schedule of four hearings per week has already forced her to ask her team to violate legal limits on working hours.
Tirosh’s remarks come after Hadad also objected to the proposed five-hearing-per-week timetable. The proposal led the premier’s lawyer to compare the hearings to the trial of notorious Nazi war criminal Adolf Eichmann.
