Rocket warning sirens sound in the Ashkelon and Tel Aviv areas as Hamas fires a large barrage of rockets at the area.
Hamas claims credit for the attack.
The Magen David Adom rescue service says there are no immediate reports of direct impacts or injuries, but it is carrying out searches.
