Sirens wail in Gaza periphery
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleChannel 10’s Alon Ben David says that 20 of the 61 Israeli soldiers killed thus far have died not on Gaza soil, but in the area immediately outside the Strip in southern Israel.
The five soldiers killed Thursday were hit by a mortar shell on the Israeli side of the border, at an IDF gathering point. “This is unforgivable,” says Channel 2’s Roni Daniel, who notes that 9 soldiers have now been killed in this way. He says such gathering points must be out of enemy range.
