Suspect arrested in connection with deadly incident at Ashdod oil refinery

Police say they have arrested a suspect linked to a deadly workplace accident that occurred in an Ashdod oil refinery earlier this month, in which two factory workers were killed.
The employees were found unconscious two weeks ago after having suffocated in their hazmat suits. Paramedics pronounced them dead on the spot soon after.
The suspect arrested today is a partner in the company that supplies oxygen cylinders to the factory. Police plan to take him to court tomorrow with a request to keep him in custody.
According to Ynet, the detainee is suspected of murder with indifference. Police reportedly believe that the tanks provided to the deceased employees did not contain medical air, and may have even been filled with another substance that caused them to suffocate.
