Theft reports abound amid summer vacation

The summer vacation seems to be accompanied, as always, by a surge in reports of theft.

A Ramle man is caught attempting to break into cars in the city. He was caught red-handed trying to hide stolen cellphones in a roadside bush, according to the NRG news site, along with carjacking tools.

In Ashdod, a 30-year-old man is caught breaking into an old age home in an attempt to steal expensive medical equipment, police say.

And in Rishon Lezion, a 35-year-old man described by authorities as homeless is suspected of stealing a large amount of cash from a passerby.
