Thousands in Tel Aviv rally against Gaza war, ‘demand to stop the starvation’

Thousands of protesters marched to the Kirya military headquarters in Tel Aviv, demanding an end to the ongoing Gaza war and calling attention to allegedly rising starvation in the Palestinian enclave.
Setting out from Habima Square, demonstrators marched through the city’s downtown carrying bags of flour and photos of Gazan children who reportedly died from hunger over the course of war.
“We are holding photos of Gazan Palestinian children who died of starvation, who simply starved to death,” says protest organizer Alon Lee-Green during the march. “They died as Israel blocks aid to Gaza, we are here demanding to stop the starvation.”
Israel has repeatedly dismissed reports of widespread famine in Gaza, saying it is permitting humanitarian aid, including food, to enter.
“They tell us there’s no starvation, these are lies. There’s pictures here of kids starving,” one protester says in a video from earlier this evening, pointing back to the photos of malnourished children.
No arrests were reported at the march.
