Troops blocking access to Amona for all except residents

Israeli troops are positioned at the entrance of the road leading to the Amona outpost, allowing only residents of the community to enter, in a bid to keep out protesters.

Earlier today, the IDF issued an order giving residents of the wildcat outpost 48 hours to leave the area with their belongings.

The High Court of Justice determined that Amona had been partially built on private Palestinian land and ordered it demolished. In accordance with the court’s ruling, the illegal settlement must be evacuated by February 8.
