Ukrainian prime minister thanks Western ‘friends’ for sanctions

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal thanks Western countries for announcing sanctions against Russia.

“Grateful for our friends from the US, France, Germany, Italy, Canada and UK,” he says.

He thanks the countries for ordering some Russian banks removed from the SWIFT financial system for global transactions, freezing assets of Russia’s central bank and taking measures against Russia oligarchs.

The EU and White House announced the punitive financial measures last night.

Grateful for our friends from ???????????????????????????????????????????????? for:
– commitment to removal of several Russian banks from #SWIFT;
– paralysis the assets of #Russia’s central bank;
– prohibition  for Russian oligarchs to use their financial assets on Euroatlantic markets.
