British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is facing pressure from Labour cabinet ministers to immediately recognize a Palestinian state, according to the Guardian.

The UK newspaper says top ministers told Starmer during several cabinet meetings in recent months that London should play a leading role in recognizing Palestinian statehood.

“We say that recognizing Palestinian statehood is a really important symbol that you can only do once. But if not now, then when?” an unnamed cabinet member is quoted as saying.
