US carriers suspend some Israel flights

A Delta Airlines flight that was supposed to fly into Ben Gurion Airport headed to Paris instead, after fragments of an intercepted rocket fell in a backyard in the town of Yehud just north of the airport earlier today.

A US Airways flight is currently sitting on the tarmac at Ben Gurion as it waits for a decision on whether it may take off.

Mark Feldman, who runs the Ziontours travel agency, says that it is unclear whether United Airlines will also suspend any flights, and that he is rebooking his clients on El Al flights.
