US, coalition forces downed at least 28 drones over Red Sea on Saturday – CENTCOM
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleUS military and coalition forces downed at least 28 drones over the Red Sea this morning, the US Central Command says in a statement.
“No US or coalition Navy vessels were damaged in the attack and there were also no reports by commercial ships of damage,” CENTCOM says.
The Iran-backed Houthis, who control much of war-torn Yemen, have been attacking vessels in the vital shipping lane since November in a campaign they say is in solidarity with Palestinians during Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza, sparked by the terror group’s devastating October 7 attack.
