US Consulate General warns citizens of expected protests

The US Consulate General in Jerusalem issues a message calling on American citizens to avoid neighborhoods in which demonstrations are taking place.

The consulate “expects demonstrations in Jerusalem and throughout the West Bank due to the recent attack at the Jerusalem Pride Parade and the attack in Duma. The Israel National Police (INP) is likely to have a heavy presence in areas where there are demonstrations and may restrict vehicular traffic to affected neighborhoods. We advise you to avoid neighborhoods restricted by INP and locations where there are active demonstrations,” the message says.
