US vice president to visit Israel on January 21 – report
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleUS Vice President Mike Pence is tentatively set to visit Israel briefly on January 21, Channel 10 television news says.
The report, sourced to a senior Israeli official, says Pence was invited to speak in the Knesset on that day by the Prime Minister’s Office. Pence’s office did not confirm the report.
He is not expected to visit Ramallah after Palestinian Authority officials said they would refuse to meet with him.
Pence was slated to visit last month, but the visit was delayed over key Congressional votes on the Trump administration’s tax reform bill.
