WATCH: Independence Day broadcast begins with torch lighting in communities attacked on Oct. 7
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe annual Independence Day ceremony broadcast begins with the lighting of torches in southern communities Kfar Aza, Hof Zikim, Sderot, Nahal Oz, and other locations affected on October 7.
One of the torches is lit in Moshav Tekuma, next to a giant stack of burned cars destroyed on the highway during the Hamas attack.
This year, most of the ceremony was prerecorded.
