Settlers who invaded Palestinian property in the South Hebron Hills on Monday smashed windows, vandalized a car, sprayed tear gas into the house, and killed livestock, the property owner, Mahmoud Dramin, told The Times of Israel on Wednesday.
Security camera footage from the property showed several individuals breaking the car windows, and later footage showed dead lambs, some of whose eyes were gouged out.
Eight or nine settlers took part in the attack, said Dramin, adding that he and other family members were inside at the time, but locked themselves in the house, which is situated between the West Bank Palestinian villages of Susya and Samu.
According to Dramin, the settlers killed six lambs and wounded four, which are unlikely to survive. Four family members also suffered mild injuries from gas inhalation, were evacuated to a hospital, and were released shortly afterward, he said.
Dramin told The Times of Israel that he was filing a police complaint about the attack.
In a statement, police said its officers, together with those of the Border Guard and Shin Bet, apprehended “one of the vehicles used by the suspects.”

The statement did not mention any of the suspects being arrested. Arrests in cases of settler violence are exceedingly rare.
The attack on Monday came as already high levels of settler violence have spiked during the Palestinians’ traditional olive-picking season.
According to the Palestinian Authority’s Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, settlers have carried out 218 attacks on Palestinian olive-pickers since early October.
